REMEMBERING
Many people feel the need to remember their loved ones who have died in some sort of formal setting, and both St, Michael’s and St John’s allow opportunities for this. At both churches, each year on the Sunday closest to All Souls Day on November 1st, we hold a service of remembrance when the names of those who have died can be read out and a candle can be lit in remembrance.
At St. Michael’s there is also the opportunity, each week in the main service, to light a candle for prayer or remembrance. |
In addition, names can be added to a Book of Remembrance that is on display in the church,. If this is of interest, please fill in the form to the right and return it to the Parish Office, In addition the church can be floodlit on a special anniversary - please contact the parish office for further details.

Also of course, the graveyards at St. Michael’s and St. John’s are places where memorials can be placed, either on graves or in the cremated remains areas. Please complete the document below (given as both a Word file and a PDF) and send it to the Parish Office to begin the process of obtaining permission for the memorial from the Diocese of Lichfield.
