What to wear
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not, just be yourself!

When you arrive
For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at Your Church. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something please simply ask. The 8.00 services at St. Michael’s are Book of Common Prayer Holy communions. These are quiet and reflective said services with the congregation in the chancel. They last about 30 to 35 minutes. The 10.00 am services at both churches are mostly Holy Communion, normally with hymns and a sermon. All are welcome to attend, and to receive communion if you wish, or simply to come forward for a blessing. They last for around an hour. On the second week of every month we have Family Praise at St Michael's at 10 am so that all of the children can enjoy a service in the main church at least once a month. We also have a play area for younger children with toys and activities. After the service at St Michael's tea/coffee and biscuits are served every week. For those with disabilities: We aim to be all-inclusive. If you wish to discuss specific needs please contact the church office. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance to St Michael's and both churches have an accessible toilet. |
